Some things this week
- Fennel and potato gratin. After noting the reviewers changes I think some butter and paprika need adding, and perhaps thyme as well depending on Stephanie Alexander’s opinion of herbs suited to fennel.
- Chicken, broccoli and cashew stir fry.
The gratin is do again… But definitely with changes. Actually cooked by pre sautéing the onion and fennel. Used a whole continental chicken stock concentrate despite it being for 2 cups rather than the actual 2/3 used for this slightly larger quantity. Also used all the fennel green for flavour. No paprika. No additional butter.
