Back to an old favourite – butterflied lamb with pumpkin and couscous salad. Some baking this weekend with date biscuits Finally we had earlier in the week Mucver (dill & zucchini fritters) which were excellent with Avocado spread over them. NACHOS!!

Ginger and lemongrass poached salmon – Saturday night Lamb tagine with preserved lemon – Sunday night Chicken, cashew and mint rice paper rolls – Monday night? Lamb and orange rocket salad – Wednesday night?
Sunday night – grilled Salmon; Yallateef charred eggplant salad, tabouleh and pumpkin mash (microwave dry, blend) with burnt sage butter (1/4 cup sage, 30g butter, fry with butter bubbling until leaves crisp). Pumpkin mash was good, charred eggplant great, tabouleh met with approval as well. Monday night – Yallateef chicken, rice and rest of salads Tuesday night …
For church lunch – lemongrass chicken coconut curry Martini’s slow cooked lamb for Sunday with brown rice & vegetable salad. Ginger beef with broccoli
Just a couple of things this week Potato pancakes with smoked salmon and creme fraiche. Kind of like blinis but actually used frozen smoked salmon shaved straight into the potato. Great, but grating onion isn’t much fun. Mediterranean slow cooked pork stew. Remains to be seen what it tastes like.
